They are doing it. They are actually going out into the world and finding mutants to come together and protect the world. At first Hank was nervous. Meeting Charles, Raven, and Erik had been wonderful! Well, Erik not so much, but still it was all a good thing. Now there were four more and all of them nearer to Raven and Hank's age. He was uncomfortable with Angel's shamelessness and Alex was too much a bully, and Hank didn't know what to do with Armando's blackness nor Sean's brashness. But ultimately, they were his people. He had people now and wasn't just the guy who made things. And no mater how different they were, they had one thing in common. They were mutants.
It started with Raven, like most things lately, picking code names and showing their abilities. Alex, of course, had to make some off color remark about Hank's feet, but Raven stood up for him. Soon enough they were having a grand time, just being kids who didn't have to hide anymore. Sharing their powers, dancing to music, and drinking pop.
Then Agent MacTaggert was there with Charles and Erik, all of them frowning and disapproving.
